ALI FARKA TOURE AND TOUMANI DIABATE TAKE HOME A GRAMMY!!

World Circuit artists Ali Farka Toure, and Toumani Diabate celebrate Grammy Success!!

Malian duo Ali Farka Touré & Toumani Diabaté have won the Best Traditional World Music Album GRAMMY.  ‘Ali and Toumani’ is the successor to the GRAMMY winning duets album 'In the Heart of the Moon', and features contributions from Orlando 'Cachaíto' López on bass. 

Produced by Nick Gold and recorded by Jerry Boys, ‘Ali and Toumani’ was the last album recorded by both Ali Farka Touré and Cachaíto López.  This makes Ali Farka Touré the only African artist to have three GRAMMY winning albums, his first was for the album ‘Talking Timbuktu’ in 1994.
