The celebrated folk musician and man responsible for the British folk rock band Steeleye Span, Tim Hart, died of lung cancer on 24th December 2009.

Steeleye Span was formed in 1971 when Hart, Maddy Prior and Ashley Hutchings formerly of Fairport Convention came together to take their traditional songs around the world.
