WATCHING 'OPEN EYE SIGNAL' BY JON HOPKINS
Taken from forthcoming LP, Immunity (released on June 3rd 2013 in the UK, June 4th in the US). The video for Open Eye Signal was filmed by Aoife McArdle in California: "The track is really special. I saw it as a singular, hypnotic journey that's almost endless. You get lost in it. I liked the idea of a city kid taking us on that journey... just one day suddenly deciding to escape his life and see more of the world in the only way he understands...via skateboard."
Jon Hopkins will be performing a headline album launch show at London’s Village Underground on 12th June. [PLAY]

MCCARTHY 'WE ARE ALL BOURGEOIS NOW'
Today Great Britain lays the 'Iron Lady' to rest sparking assumptions from David Cameron that 'We're all Thatcherites now'. In 1988 McCarthy sang 'We are All Bourgeois Now'. In a nod and a wink to today's events we share with you their astute lyric which was subsequently covered by the Manic Street Preachers as a hidden track on Know Your Enemy (2001)
"We Are All Bourgeois Now" originally by McCarthy [Domino Publishing]
In every town on the way -The people looked grey the buildings looked healthy- But one day I met a man With money to spare-
He said he would tell me how it is
The State he began Has been propping up people too long- For far too long -We all got lazy and couldn't be bothered-
To make our way through the world
But we are all bourgeois now -Once there was class war -But not any longer- Because baby we are all bourgeois now
So go out and make your way in the world -We're free to choose ...
In Booming Britain we all work together- To raise ourselves in the world- Each of us knows someone -Who has done well for themselves
So well for themselves "Thank you," I said as I left I'll be on my way, I see how it is
We are all bourgeois now -And somehow I'll raise myself through the world- I'm free to choose -We're all free to choose...
We're all bourgeois now

DOMINO DOES MUSIC NOT DEEP CRUST
Many of you often comment on confusing us with a pizza delivery establishment (actually no one does) - how about confusing one pizza delivery establishment with another pizza delivery establishment and then emailing us to complain about how hard our crust is. This email is too good to keep to ourselves. Have a little chuckle on us. Incidentally we do have an interest in the commercial currently running for a well known pizza delivery establishment.

SHE & HIM - VOLUME 3 OUT 13TH MAY 2013
She & Him – Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward (Double Six on Domino Records / Domino Publishing) – will release their third album of original material, entitled Volume 3 (out on Merge Records on May 7th 2013 in the US). The duo will also be hitting the road for a month-long US tour this summer which includes a headlining show at the legendary Hollywood Bowl on June 23rd, as well as an evening at Central Park Summerstage in July. The incredible Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell and Camera Obscura provide support on select dates.
With fourteen songs – 11 Deschanel originals and 3 covers – Volume 3 is an effortlessly effervescent, bleached-out-in-the-sun pop record. The album features some of the most dynamic, complex songs Deschanel has ever written, allowing for tempo shifts, disco grooves, string arrangements on multiple tracks, and horn flourishes that perfectly suit the She & Him sound. Produced by M. Ward, and recorded in Los Angeles, Portland, and New York City, Volume 3 features guest contributions from NRBQ’s Joey Spampinato, Mike Watt, Tilly and the Wall, Pierre de Reeder from Rilo Kiley, and Tom Hagerman from Devotchka.
Deschanel, whose television show New Girl has cemented her status as a sitcom star, continued to hone her songwriting skills, writing the theme song for her new show, in addition to being nominated for a Grammy for Best Original Song for the movie Winnie the Pooh. She wrote songs for Volume 3 during small pockets of downtime while filming New Girl, as Ward toured the world behind his latest solo creation, A Wasteland Companion.

OUTER LIMITS RECORDINGS - SINGLES, DEMOS & RARITIES (2007-2010) OUT 15TH APRIL 2013
One third of Test Icicles, Sam Mehran, releases a collection of works. Whilst his former band mates (Rory Atwell and Dev Hynes) have been producing and working on counteless high-profile side projects, we've been privately enjoying Sam Mehran's intrepid foray into his alter ego Outer Limitz notably with the song I Kontakt. Now dropping the Z in favour of an S, Sam launches a full public assault by consolidating his Singles, Demos & Rarities into one edition for you all to enjoy as well.
'I feel like I have many stories ahead of me. Over the past few years I've learnt that people are people and music is music and I can't really judge or say I believe deep down that one this is genuinely better than another, Life is just so crazy. I used to think I was an alien, but Earth has been such an epic experience that I'm now glad to call it home. But who knows, maybe one day I'll leave and realize that home was some place else.'Sam Mehran
This compilation represents the perfect portal into a special artistic imagination, a thrilling outsider-art artefact and even more reason for excitement regarding whatever Mehran dreams up next.

WATCHING COUNTRY QUEEN BY NIGHT MOVES ALBUM ‘COLORED EMOTIONS’ OUT MARCH 25TH 2013
Currently on the road with both Django Django and fellow Minneapolis group Poliça, Night Moves worked with producer/mixer Thom Monahan (Vetiver, Beachwood Sparks, Devendra Banhart) to tighten and brighten the album.
The core members of Night Moves, guitarist/lead vocalist John Pelant, bassist Micky Alfano and multi-instrumentalist Mark Ritsema, grew up together in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota and spent their younger years rotating in and out of one another's musical orbits. After a couple of promising false starts, the trio re-coalesced in 2009 in earnest as Night Moves and began recording. Since then, the band has been joined by drummer Jared Isabella completing their live set-up.

AUSTRA 'OLYMPIA' OUT 17TH JUNE 2013
Austra is Katie Stelmanis (lead vocals), Maya Postepski (drums), Dorian Wolf (bass), Ryan Wonsiak (keys), Sari & Romy Lightman (backing vocals). 'Olympia' was produced by Austra with additional production by Mike Haliechuk, vocal production by Damian Taylor (Bjork, the Killers), engineered by Bill Skibbe and Leon Taheny and mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Hot Chip). Austra have previously toured with Grimes, the XX and the Gossip.
Despite the sometimes dark lyrics written in collaboration with band member Sari Lightman, 'Olympia' is bubbly and buoyant— fundamentally a dance record, which Stelmanis says was the band's aim all along.
