All We Are announce the release of their new single ‘Honey’ with the accompanying video above.

In the words of All We Are, the video for ‘Honey’ “tells the story of a ghost observing the life of its former lover and the restiveness of the subject matter, juxtaposed with the upbeat nature of the tune, was captured perfectly by director Stephan Agnew. The Lynchian world of the ‘Honey’ video has a macabre and hellish feel that's tense and unsure and gives a feel for the purgatory like existence the ghost is living."

GEORGIA SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM OUT 7TH AUGUST 2015

DOMINO ALL-IN

'Welcome To Georgia' (4-Track Sampler)

GET: MP3 | WAV | CD

The debut eponymous album by multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Georgia Barnes, has been announced. Watch a trailer for the album featuring the opening track, Intro, above.

Written, performed and produced by Barnes in its entirety and recorded in her own home-studio, ‘Georgia’ is the product of two years of obsessive work, but also a young lifetime of voracious music listening.

Elements of the glacial yet hyper-melodic tone of early 00's grime, sweltering, mid-summer west London dub and ragga, sophisticated pop, first wave post-punk agitation, the formative influence of Missy Elliott and the high-concept, illuminated sound-design work of contemporary artists such as The Knife and Hudson Mohawke run through ‘Georgia’, a record that reveals new layers of intrigue and ingenuity with every listen.

Born and raised in a deeply musical household in north west London, Georgia combined music study at London's SOAS with a stint working on the counter at Rough Trade and quickly made a lot of very natural musical connections, being invited to play drums with DIY innovators such as Kwes and Kate Tempest. Listen to 'Be Ache' below.

Watch the video for Move Systems HERE.

Georgia will be playing at the official Field Day aftershow at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington on Saturday the 6th of June, headlining London’s Electowerkz on Thursday the 9th of July and shall be supporting Hot Chip on their October UK tour later in 2015.

HECTOR (FEATURE FILM DIRECTED BY JAKE GAVIN) WITH FILM SCORE BY EMILY BARKER

WORK

'Dear River'

GET: MP3 | WAV | CD

Hector is a heartwarming portrait of an enigmatic man in contemporary Britain. Living around the motorways with transient friends for years, we follow their annual pilgrimage from Scotland to a London shelter and the warmth of a temporary Christmas family.  But Hectors’ clock is ticking and he attempts to reconnect with his real family after 15 years away. Peter Mullan’s masterful, uplifting performance reveals a mere twist of fate is the only difference between you, me and a man like Hec. A portrait of an invisible man and an authentic account of homelessness within contemporary Britain, HECTOR is once a powerful character study and an insight into the lives on those on the margins.

Hector is the first feature from writer/director Jake Gavin, who is better known as a photographer, although he has appeared as an actor in Jake Scott's Plunkett & Macleane (1999) and Lotus Eaters (2011).

Featuring the film score by Domino Publishing's Australian singer-songwriter EMILY BARKER

DRINKS 'HERMITS ON HOLIDAY' OUT 21ST AUGUST 2015

'Hermits On Holiday' (Single)

GET: MP3 | WAV | CD

White Fence psych rock mastermind Tim Presley and Welsh singer-songwriter Cate Le Bon have forged an unlikely partnership with DRINKS. Though the two only linked up recently, they’re already prepping their debut album, Hermits On Holiday, which is due to drop this summer. Despite their shared efforts, a press release describes DRINKS “as solo project, not a collaboration. It has one mouth, one set of lungs, one mind and four legs.”

As a preview of their four-legged effort, DRINKS have shared the title track, a spry little number led by Le Bon’s soft, limber vocals. Later, a mix of barbed riffs stir up and tear into the song, like someone’s just spiked the punch with a barrel of rum. Listen in below.

Hermits on Holiday will hit shelves on August 21st via Birth Records/Heavenly Recordings. Le Bon’s last solo effort was 2013’s Mug Museum; meanwhile, Presley’s last White Fence record was last year’s For The Recently Found Innocent.

SPEEDY ORTIZ 'FOIL DEER' OUT 20TH APRIL 2015 (DOMINO PUBLISHING)

DOMINO PUBLISHING

'Foil Deer' & Instrumentals

GET: MP3 | WAV | CD

Combining creative songwriting, quirky time signatures, and all the brash artiness of '90s indie rock, singer/guitarist Sadie Dupuis, bassist Darl Ferm, drummer Mike Falcone, and guitarist Matt Robidoux formed the group Speedy Ortiz in 2012. Based in Northampton, Massachusetts, the members of the four-piece worked day jobs (as a college writing instructor, a guitar teacher, a librarian, and a burger-stand employee) while playing shows in and around N.Y.C.'s five boroughs and recording their debut EP, Sports. In June of 2012, Exploding in Sound released that EP, and in 2013 their first full-length, Major Arcana, was released by Carpark Records. They returned early in 2014 with the Real Hair EP, which was mixed and recorded by alt-rock producer extraordinaire Paul Q. Kolderie and featured songwriting inspired by pop and R&B. Guitarist Devin McKnight joined the band for 2015's tighter second album Foil Deer, which Speedy Ortiz spent over a month recording in Brooklyn's Rare Book Room studio.

Foil Deer opens up their dense sonic tangles without unraveling their style completely. "The Graduates" is a perfect example, with breezy keyboards that not only underscore the band's skill at distilling their tangents and angles into something downright catchy, but also distinguish them further from their '90s influences. Watch the video above.

GIRLS NAMES 'ARMS AROUND A VISION' OUT 2ND OCTOBER 2015

DOMINO PUBLISHING

Northern Ireland’s Girls Names return this autumn with their third full-length album, Arms Around a Vision, due for an October 2nd release via long-term home, Tough Love Records.

Girls Names formed in Belfast, but they’ve long considered themselves a European band. The band initially came together as a relatively lean two-piece back in the summer of 2010, but over the course of a handful of EPs and three very different albums, they’ve grown in number and ambition. Their last album, The New Life, was an unexpected underground hit in early 2013, taking the band around the world and garnering much critical praise, culminating in nominations for both the Northern Irish and Irish Music Prizes. Emboldened by the reception to that record, in March they returned with an 11-minute single that was played in full on Radio 1 and, typically, does not feature on their new album. Girls Names like to do things a little differently.

On Arms Around a Vision, they’re more widescreen than ever but also more direct and aggressive. The bass, drums and guitars are still there, but so are saxophones, organs, detuned broken guitars and pianos, and even sheets of metal assaulted with hammers. Conceptually, Arms Around a Vision acts as a love letter to European elegance – Italian futurism, Russian constructivism, Germany’s Zero Group and both Neubaten and Bowie’s Berlin. Listen to the lead track 'Reticence' below.

FARAO 'HUNTER' SINGLE OUT 4TH MAY 2015

DOMINO PUBLISHING

'Hunter' & Instrumental

GET: MP3 | WAV | CD

Farao is the musical identity of Norwegian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kari Jahnsen. Hailing from Ulnes, a small village of 500 people in the Nordic mountain valley of Valdres, Farao creates intricate, enchanting music that reflects the dramatic yet serene environments of her origin. Her songs bear a vibrant surface beauty, while deftly revealing the depths within.

“Hunter”, the first single to follow Farao’s self-titled EP from 2014, is transitive indie rock dashed with starry electronics – Jahnsen’s voice piercing through with pure pitch, and smooth, elided phrasing. Watch the live performance above and listen to the single below.

The now-London-based artist took to Iceland in 2014 to begin recording her first full album. Her intuitive collaboration with producer Mike Lindsay (of Tunng), coupled with the perpetual light of an Icelandic spring inspired an environment where Jahnsen was free to make bold artistic decisions without reservation. A full length album is due later in 2015.
