NEW SIGNING: BUSCABULLA 'VAMONO' OUT 25TH SEPTEMBER 2019 (DOMINO ALL-IN)

DOMINO ALL-IN
Buscabulla 'Vamono'
GET: MP3 | WAV | LICENSE

Buscabulla has released the single "Vámono", with a music video directed by Claudia Calderon. Watch above.

It is the first song both written and conceived since the duo's members, Raquel Berrios and Luis Alfredo Del Valle, moved home to Puerto Rico, from New York. The song is a rally to those who have returned as well as those whom have left. It is an urgent reminder to connect with your history, your roots, your very own self. Buscabulla were born and raised in Puerto Rico. Yet it wasn't until 2011 while living in NYC that the producer, designer, songwriter, and DJ Berrios teamed up with producer and multi-instrumentalist Del Valle. Together they formed "troublemaker", or “Buscabulla", as it's known in Puerto Rican slang. Buscabulla's debut EP was co-produced with Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange) and subsequently released on the Kitsuné Musique label in 2014. Buscabulla's second EP, II, was self-produced and self-released in January 2017.

The video for Vámono”, is an amalgam of Neo-Cultural expressions inspired by ancestral traditions which are celebrated in regions close to the group's own personal history in Puerto Rico. The Vejigantes, from Ponce, where Del Valle was born and raised, and Festival de Las Mascaras in Hatillo, where Berrios' ancestors are from and, like her, emigrated to NY, made a life there and came back to Puerto Rico to live out the rest of their lives.

"With the mass-exodus of Puerto Ricans to the mainland U.S. as well as economic decline accompanied by displacement of our people and traditions, we hoped to capture the essence of these festivities," the band says. "By their very nature and existence, these festivities are a form of celebratory resistance."

GEORGIA 'SEEKING THRILLS' OUT 10TH JANUARY 2020 (DOMINO ALL-IN)

DOMINO ALL-IN
Georgia 'Seeking Thrills'
GET: MP3 | WAV | LICENSE

Domino are extremely proud to present Seeking Thrills, the new LP from Georgia, due for release on January 10th 2020. The new single, “Never Let You Go” exemplifies Georgia’s trademark unfiltered lyrical sweetness and acidic production fused with a house-influenced driving beat. The accompanying video was shot and directed by Joseph Connor in Jordan. Watch above.

“Never Let You Go” and the announcement of Seeking Thrills comes after a hugely successful 2019 for Georgia. Both of her singles, “Started Out” and “About Work The Dancefloor” hit Radio 1's A playlist, and propelled Georgia to headline shows across the globe, including dates in Europe, Latin America, the US, Australia, plus a goosebump-inducing one-woman-band set on Glastonbury's Park Stage.

The new LP, Seeking Thrills is a sharply paced and fascinating album, packed with injections of lightness and fun, pared with rich, bubbling melodies that makes listening to it an experience that takes you into the party, through electro-pop into R&B, and back again. Her deep, brooding reflections carry us through euphoria, heartache and melancholy but always with the memory of the good times. Georgia is reminding you of the altitude of your last real thrill, and when we turn the record on, we’re there again, aching for more.

Heavily inspired by Chicago House and Detroit Techno of the early 80s, Seeking Thrills fuses analogue club sounds with solid pop songwriting and showcases Georgia's lifelong love affair with the drums.

BONNIE “PRINCE” BILLY 'I MADE A PLACE' OUT 15TH NOVEMBER 2019 (DOMINO PUBLISHING)

Bonnie “Prince” Billy 'I Made A Place'

Bonnie “Prince” Billy announces a new album named 'I Made A Place' out via Domino Recordings 15th November 2019. Watch the glorious video for "(At The) Back of The Pit", directed by high school senior Jacob Forman.

The world has changed. Some things will never change. Some are gone forever. Thankfully, this isn't one of them: the wait for new Bonnie “Prince” Billy is now on a timer. What's more, the new single drops a bit of Apocalypse WOW. Picking up in a sense where last year's "Blueberry Jam" left off, "(At The) Back of the Pit" considers what to do with the things we love when it comes time for the death (and therefore, rebirth) of our painstakingly-built'n'kill't world. It's an affirming country jam: elegiac early moments give way to jaunty roots-rock strides, a horn section soulfully charting the long rays at the end of the day as well as the first rays of the new rising sun as they light on all our hopeful tomorrows.

PATRICK WATSON 'WAVE' OUT 18TH OCTOBER 2019 (DOMINO RECORDINGS)

DOMINO RECORDINGS
Patrick Watson 'Wave'
GET: MP3 | WAV | LICENSE

Wave, the new album from Canadian artist Patrick Watson, arrives on October 18th via Domino (worldwide excluding Canada) / Secret City (Canada).  Wave is the follow-up to Watson’s 2015 album Love Songs for Robots. Alongside the album announcement today, Wave’s opening track “Dream for Dreaming” is now available, accompanied by a music video directed by Joël Vaudreuil. Watch above.

Talking about the new song, Watson says: “When you come home and your house doesn’t look like the one you left and the strange feeling of being so far from what you had in mind that your skin doesn’t fit anymore. And you’re in the state of disbelief with a strange smile wondering what am I to do now.”

Watson’s sixth studio album is about having a wave knock you over when you realize everything you have in life can be wiped away in a moment – and then learning how not to drown in the process. During the making of the album, Patrick lost his mother, his longtime drummer left the group, and he and his partner separated. Watson brought a notebook underneath the waves and composed tunes about melancholy. The songs are about how sometimes you have to sing a love song to yourself when no one else will, allowing the sound carry you and learning to trust where you will land. It is very personal and intimate, and it is the most humble of all his records.  Reflecting on events in his personal life, and having begun his singing career in the church choir; Watson notes about the album: “It’s the difference between singing a solo at a stranger’s grave as a child and singing one at your own mother’s funeral.”
