'Talking Backwards' directed by Charles Poekel

ATLAS is the new album by New Jersey's Real Estate out March 3rd 2014.  Written by Martin Courtney, Matt Mondanile, Alex Bleeker and Jackson Pollis while cruising through the Arizona desert and during a presser in Madrid, in a practice room in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and in an attic in the band's hometown of Ridgewood, New Jersey. It was recorded in the summer of 2013 in Chicago with Tom Schick (Sean Lennon, Low, Cibo Matto) at Wilco's loft studio where new member Matt Kallman (formerly of Girls) joined the fold on keyboards.

Real Estate are skilled at capturing hazy summer evenings. Similarities are made to Galaxie 500, Little Wings, Luna, Neu, Nick Drake and Pavement, and also Fairfield Porter, Milton Avery and Albert York. Cover art shows sections of a mural by Polish artist Stefan Knapp that hung for more than 30 years outside a department store in North Jersey where the band grew up and spent years driving by the abandoned building and its monumental painting.

From Scandinavia emerges MYRKUR, releasing her album 'Mareridt' via Relapse Records on the 15th September 2017. Myrkur shares her latest music video for track 'Ulvinde'. Watch above.

The one-woman, classically trained, multi-instrumentalist is known for combining the raw, masculine energy of second-wave black metal, with an ethereal, sophisticated virtue. Myrkur composes in epic proportions.

'Mareridt' is a carefully composed concept flowing between English and Danish, from guttural growls charged with testosterone, to emotive feminine hymns and kulning. The eleven-tracks sweep into one another like a soundtrack designed to guide the listener through emotional turmoil.
