Fashion VJs! Live cinema! Grime! …and glamour! This programme of live multi-sensory visual projections curated by London College of Fashion, UAL and Domino Publishing will re-create the spontaneity and immediacy of the fashion world through fashion film, interactive audio-visual performance and intoxicating beats, performed with a custom AV system designed by Dimitrios Coumados.

Also, artists Harriet Fleuriot and Sarah Cockings will showcase their project Plasma Vista in a remixed state with live sound from Luke Fraser and performance from Miss Cairo, and interactive sculptures from Laurence Symonds, showcasing its episodic art, design products, furnishings and clothing as a dysfunctional experimental piece of moving image.

And WBW Awards photographer of the year 2016, Olivia Rose, will present her photographic work for This Is Grime, the definitive book on Britain’s most provocative music genre (written by Hattie Collins) as live projections, accompanied by a suitable DJ soundtrack including artistes such as The Range, Oscar #worldpeace and Ragz Originale. EAST END FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTS 'PSYCH SPACE' AT OVAL SPACE, LONDON FEATURING LUKE ABBOTT

COOL STUFF
'Music For A Flat Landscape'
GET: MP3 | WAV | LICENSE

Join the EEFF at the spectacular Oval Space for a night of live cross-arts events, performance, film and live music celebrating the boundaries between sound and image.
7:00 PM
PAS DE DEUX: WORLD PREMIERE
The World Premiere of a brand new live commission, featuring maverick electronic musician Luke Abbott (Border Community/Buffalo Temple), live visuals wizard Dan Tombs (Jon Hopkins, Fuck Buttons) and award-winning dance artist Lucy Suggate.
A true cross-arts spectacular, this live reinterpretation of Norman McLaren’s Oscar-nominated Pas de Deux (1968) features live dance, manipulated reprojections and a semi-improvised drone score. A spectacular portrayal of dance and movement, with a shimmering soundtrack, it is presented alongside the World Premiere of a series of new artist film commissions.

Produced by Kate Wilson. Supported by Arts Council England (See events page for the ACE supported Norman McLaren retrospective supporting this event).

9:30 PM
FANTASTIC PLANET LIVE RESPONSE BY JC FLOWERS (ATP RECORDS)
JC Flower’s debut album was written and recorded in their practice room overlooking Canary Wharf, with its muted frisson of diminishing returns. This period was a strange one: planes fell out of the sky, media panic over outbreaks and epidemics continued, weather patterns and determinedly climbing rents drove the band to distraction.
Conveniently, they are a band so paranoid they can barely watch the film and remain conscious. We expect them to bring the necessary tension to this story of existential dread and revolutionary intrigue to their live response to a screening the science fiction classic Fantastic Planet, a psychedelic tale of a humanoid race rising up against their giant blue alien masters.

11:00 PM
JOHN DORAN, LONE TAXIDERMIST + ROSS BLAKE: INTERFERENCE
Playing a selection of Middle Eastern, spunk funk, Electro chaabi, and space bangers, witness the records of DJ John Doran (The Quietus) being manipulated by Natalie Sharp (Lone Taxidermist), interfering via sharp splices, loops and effects applied to voice and analogue synths, all on the fly and in the moment. A tall man named Ross Blake will be adding his special brew of visuals to the mix.
