HOW TO GET TO DOMINO FROM SCOTLAND 2 - EIFF 23RD JUNE 2011

After a successful cut+paste in Liverpool in March we take our little road show demonstrating how music and film can work better together to the Edinburgh International Film Festival on 23rd June 2011:
3pm-4.30pm - [Festivalhouse@Teviot - Debating Hall. Bristo Square, Edinburgh EH8 9AJ] with Steve Mason and music supervisor Vicki Williams. We invite film makers to submit 60 second QT files to here for the panel to discuss cuts to music from Domino (ticketed)
HOW TO GET TO DOMINO FROM SCOTLAND AND T'WEE PARTY GET TOGETHER AT EIFF
4.30pm - 6.30pm - hang out in the delegate bar Festivalhouse@Teviot with film makers and Domino writers with a few nice surprises (invite only)
8.30pm - 10.30pm - [Festivalhouse@Teviot - Debating Hall] A non-narrative dream landscape, incorporating techniques of early cinema and shadow play. The original music score and sound effects are performed live by Pram (Domino Records) with Film Ficciones as hidden conspirators behind a giant film screen, occasionally glimpsed as shadowy figures incorporated into its fractured scheme of images, creating a dreamlike illustrated forest landscape into which Shadow Shows invite the audience.
LATE - FREE - Wrapping up the night will be Den Haan with Ten Tracks [Underground - Festivalhouse@Teviot - Debating Hall]
Also happening at EIFF 2011...
SOUND IT OUT - We also recommend going along to see this film on Friday 24 June at 10.10pm Filmhouse 2 (Public Screening) Saturday 25 June at 5.15pm Filmhouse 2 (Public Screening).

INTRODUCING YOUNG MAGIC
Although now firmly settled in New York City, Young Magic’s three members came together through equal helpings of openness and fortuity. In 2010, singer and producer Isaac Emmanuel had left his home continent of Australia to travel across Europe, over to New York, and down through Mexico, all the while creating and recording music with whatever instruments he found along the way. While in Mexico, Emmanuel kept a tight correspondence with fellow Australian expat Michael Italia, who for months had been similarly traveling across Europe and South America with portable recording gear in tow. They decided to meet up in New York, where their good friend from a few years prior, Indonesian-born vocalist Melati Malay, had been living and making her own recordings. In early 2011 the three friends, who had initially bonded over their broad musical palettes, began recording together and contributing songs to the record, culling influences and finding their own footing among them.
Young Magic release their album Melt on 14th February 2012 on Carpark Records. More information
