SUPERORGANISM 'SUPERORGANISM' OUT 2ND MARCH 2018 (DOMINO ALL-IN)

DOMINO ALL-IN

Superorganism, one of 2018’s most hotly tipped new artists, announce full details of their highly anticipated debut album which will be released 2nd March 2018 via Domino Records. Watch the video for 'Everybody Wants To Be Famous' above.

Self-produced, written and recorded in the east London house-stroke-studio-stroke band HQ they all share together (imagine a squat version of the Brill Building, or a lo-fi, DIY take on Max Martin’s Cheiron studio), Superorganism is a spectacularly confident debut record that beams with a sense of wonky fun, a kaleidoscopic riot of sound and visuals. Influenced by the world-building depth of artists like Devo, Beck and The Avalanches, Superoganism soundtracks the band’s rapid trajectory from shared house side project to global audiovisual powerhouse and features previous singles ‘Something For Your M.I.N.D.’ and ‘It’s All Good / Nobody Cares’ as well as their brand single ‘Everybody Wants To Be Famous’.

The eight piece band - a sprawling, multi-limbed collection of international musicians and pop culture junkies have been shortlisted in the BBC Sound Of and VEVO dscvr polls among others. Superorganism will be taking their acclaimed live show on the road throughout 2018, including extensive UK, European and North American headline tours. The full dates are below, including a London headline show at the 1000 capacity Oval Space on 8th March.

Austra has shared the B-side track 'Change The Paradigm’ from 'Future Politics', the critically lauded fourth album from the Canadian synth-pop group. Listen above.

Singer Katie Stelmanis on ‘Change The Paradigm’:

“I wish ‘Change the Paradigm’ had made it onto the record because it directly embodies what I wanted to express on Future Politics - that the most powerful tool we possess for creating a better world is our own imagination. Future Politics was written in a much different climate than what we have today. It's been difficult to stay positive, but for me the possibility of what lies ahead is not only a weapon of potential, but a source of comfort and faith. We have to believe in the future and our own power to invent it now more than ever!”

WILD BEASTS 'LAST NIGHT ALL MY DREAMS CAME TRUE' OUT 16TH FEBRUARY 2018 (DOMINO ALL-IN)

Wild Beasts 'Last Night All My Dreams Came True'
GET: MP3 | WAV | LICENSE

Wild Beasts announce live studio album Last Night All My Dreams Came True  to be released on February 16th 2018 via Domino Documents. Listen to 'The Devil's Palace (Live at RAK)' above.

Last Night All My Dreams Came True is a career-spanning collection and features songs from each of Wild Beasts’ studio albums with an emphasis on Boy King, their most direct record yet. Looking back on Wild Beasts’ back catalogue and the themes they tackled, there is a sense of prescience – toxic masculinity, gender fluidity, the conflicts surrounding class, politics and art were no bandwagon jumps, often becoming hot topics in the media several years after they’d been eloquently dealt with on record.

‘The Devil’s Palace’, a rarely-played track that blends ‘The Devil’s Crayon’, from the quartet’s debut Limbo, Panto, and ‘Palace’, from 2014’s Present Tense. An exclusive for the record, it showcases the vocal interplay between Thorpe’s falsetto and Tom Fleming’s baritone perfectly. Recorded in two days over the summer at RAK Studios, Last Night All My Dreams Came True is the second official Domino Documents release and has more than fulfilled the Domino Documents aim to capture a band at the height of their powers, recording a selection of their finest songs.

SORRY RELEASE DEBUT SINGLE ‘WISHED’ ON DOMINO (DOMINO ALL-IN)

DOMINO ALL-IN
Sorry 'Wished/Lies'
GET: MP3 | WAV | LICENSE

Sorry are a new London band centered around Asha Lorenz and Louis O'Bryen, two 19 year-old childhood best friends. Along with Lincoln Barrett (drums) and Campbell Baum (bass).

Although starting life with a conventional rock band set up, Sorry’s tastes are wide-ranging and reflect their age and omnivorous YouTube-era musical upbringing where rock, hip hop, noise, electronic soundscapes, grime and folk all sit side-by-side and without confusion. Accordingly, all these influences and more form the band's unique nascent musical universe - a bold, ambitious and at times irreverent canvas onto which the symbiotic intensity of Lorenz’s and O'Bryen's emotional and hyper-melodic songwriting is projected.

‘Wished’ is their debut studio recording and follows the recent self-release of Home Demo(ns) Vol. 1, an eclectic, homespun 13 track audio/visual mixtape. Recorded by Sean Oakley (Rick Rubin, Frank Ocean) and mixed by Andrew Savours (My Bloody Valentine), it is an enticing first document of the band's effortlessly emotive songwriting and command of atmosphere which will be familiar to anyone who has seen their visceral live shows so far, as well as a glimpse at in-studio production possibilities to be explored in their future work.

Sorry will be playing their biggest headline show to date at Corsica Studios in London on 5 December. The evening will see the band curate a line up of artists, DJs and visual artists, including Middle England (live), DJ sets from Mica Levi and Glows, and poet Georgie Jesson, plus an exhibition from Flop / Spit Tease.

PATRICK WATSON 'BROKEN' OUT NOVEMBER 2017 (DOMINO RECORDINGS)

DOMINO RECORDINGS
Patrick Watson 'Broken'
GET: MP3 | WAV | LICENSE

Patrick Watson shares ‘Broken’, a brand new single and video released on the 16th November 2017. Watch above.

Of the video, recently shot in Montreal, director Pedro Pires says: “It was a real pleasure to work with Patrick to create this video. We started with simple intuitive ideas such as characters fleeing or running away in fast moving vehicles. I then proposed to use reflections and flares to fragment the light to reveal a more impressionist moody state of mind of these various “broken” characters”, explains the director.

Patrick has been busy on various projects since the 2015 critically acclaimed release of his fifth album, Love Songs for Robots. He played the Montreal Symphonique outdoor concert on the Mount-Royal to celebrate the city’s 375th anniversary, embarked on the Canadian C3 boat for a 2 week run to raise awareness on Diversity and Inclusion, Reconciliation, Youth Engagement and the Environment, and finally, performed last week at the Bell Center for Tower of Songs, a tribute concert to Leonard Cohen in Montreal with Sting, Lana Del Rey, Elvis Costello and more. Patrick and his band are currently recording the next album set to be out sometime in 2018.

Watson composes, performs and records his albums with his full band of almost a decade, which includes Joe Grass (guitars), Robbie Kuster (drums/percussion) and Mishka Stein (bass). The recipient of Canada’s elite Polaris Music Prize in 2007, Watson and his band have performed to over 100,000 people at the 2009 Montreal Jazz Festival as well as with full orchestras in Amsterdam and Montreal. Raised and still living in Montreal, Watson himself has composed fifteen scores for both film and television; including a trailer for ‘The Walking Dead’ and Wim Wenders’ 3D film ‘Everything Will Be Fine’.
