HENDRIK WEBER (AKA PANTHA DU PRINCE)

 

Hendrik Weber is a composer, visual artist, producer and DJ. He lives and works in Paris and Berlin.

 

Upon completion of university in carpentry, art history and music, Weber began producing installations and sound sculptures in 1999.

 

Before and during that time, he also played in several new wave bands as well as experimental kraut bands. Concept photography is an integral part of his universe.

 

The composed releases as are always created as a gesamtkunstwerk: in which the sleeve design and the visuals are a direct link to his music.

 

His aliases include 'Glühen4' and 'Panthel' but his most influential project is Pantha Du Prince.

 

Weber has gracefully created his own genre in contemporary electronic music: 'Diamond Daze' in 2004 and 'This Bliss' in 2007, two albums that have drastically changed the world inside and out of the club. Both releases were great artistic successes which led the way for musical reworks for Depeche Mode, Animal Collective, the Long Blondes, Phantom/Ghost and various others.
