Devonte Hynes has come a long way from his Test Icicles routes and through his Lightspeed Champion years, to hoaning his very own unmistakable 80's-tinged Pop sound under the new moniker 'Blood Orange'. After the release of 'Coastal Grooves' (Domino) in 2011, and the lovely summer-y groovyness of the single 'Champagne Coast' Dev's songwriting talent caught the attention of the likes of Solange (a perfect colaborational match resulting in the TRUE EP) and Sky Ferreria with the track 'Everything Is Embarrassing'.
