Allison Crutchfield (P.S. Eliot, Swearin’) has announced her debut solo album. It’s called Tourist in This Town, and it’s out via Merge Records. She has also shared a music video for the album’s first offering, “Dean’s Room.” Directed by Lara Jean Gallagher, the video (watch below) shows scenes of Crutchfield dancing around a home alongside the dancer Marlee Grace. Austra, the recording project led by Canadian vocalist and producer Katie Stelmanis, is pleased to announce Future Politics, the third full length in their discography.

Inspired by her time living in two cities – Montreal and Mexico City – and propelled by economic and philosophical texts she was reading throughout the album’s creation, Stelmanis was driven to face the world’s ailments with positivity, purpose, and engagement, rather than detachment or despair. THE WYTCHES

Formed in November 2011 after moving down from Peterborough, this Brighton based Surf/Doom three piece comprise of guitar/organ/lead vocalist Kristian; semi-professional poker playing drummer Gianni, and fiercely eloquent bassist Dan, who is currently writing a science fiction novel by the name of The Curious Adventures of Charlie Revel. They released their first single, the AA-side 'Beehive Queen/Crying Clown', via HateHateHate Records on June 3rd 2013, which sold out almost immediately.
