Allison Crutchfield (P.S. Eliot, Swearin’) has announced her debut solo album. It’s called Tourist in This Town, and it’s out via Merge Records. She has also shared a music video for the album’s first offering, “Dean’s Room.” Directed by Lara Jean Gallagher, the video (watch below) shows scenes of Crutchfield dancing around a home alongside the dancer Marlee Grace. Austra, the recording project led by Canadian vocalist and producer Katie Stelmanis, is pleased to announce Future Politics, the third full length in their discography.

Inspired by her time living in two cities – Montreal and Mexico City – and propelled by economic and philosophical texts she was reading throughout the album’s creation, Stelmanis was driven to face the world’s ailments with positivity, purpose, and engagement, rather than detachment or despair. VISUALS

VISUALS is Andrew Fox, a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer from the Brooklyn scene.

Fox began crafting the songs that would become VISUALS in 2012. A long-standing working relationship with Dave Harrington, Nicolas Jaar's partner in DARKSIDE, led to VISUALS joining Jaar's Other People crew and releasing an acclaimed, self-titled debut EP.

In October 2013, Fox swapped Brooklyn for Berlin and left behind a studio full of gear, finding inspiration in the limitation of a laptop and a microphone. Working with his voice as a primary instrument led to an intensified focus on melody, and opened moods previously inaccessible.
