Allison Crutchfield (P.S. Eliot, Swearin’) has announced her debut solo album. It’s called Tourist in This Town, and it’s out via Merge Records. She has also shared a music video for the album’s first offering, “Dean’s Room.” Directed by Lara Jean Gallagher, the video (watch below) shows scenes of Crutchfield dancing around a home alongside the dancer Marlee Grace. Austra, the recording project led by Canadian vocalist and producer Katie Stelmanis, is pleased to announce Future Politics, the third full length in their discography.

Inspired by her time living in two cities – Montreal and Mexico City – and propelled by economic and philosophical texts she was reading throughout the album’s creation, Stelmanis was driven to face the world’s ailments with positivity, purpose, and engagement, rather than detachment or despair. FRáNçOIS & THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS

François Marry alongside his band The Atlas Mountains are Domino Record’s first signing to their French office in Paris. Originally from La Rochelle in south-west France, Fránçois moved to Bristol to work asa teaching assistant and whilst there, volunteered at Bristol arts venue The Cube. This afforded him the opportunity to meet with Camera Obscura and Movietone before becoming acquainted with King Creosote’s Fence Records, who put out the album 'Plaine Inondable' in 2009.
